BETTY BUSCH, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR & CONDUCTOR Betty believes that "Musical expression is necessary for a whole life. There's nothing like the joy shared in singing together." In 2002, she was awarded a Woman of Achievement Award from Oregon State University to honor her work with Jubilate! Betty serves as the Director of Music at United Methodist Church in Corvallis, and teaches private French horn students and music at Oregon State University. As a performer, Betty has played French horn professionally and has sung with the Portland based Choral Cross Ties. She currently performs with the Corvallis Repertory Singers.
LUCY WATTS, PIANIST & ACCOMPANIST Lucy has been Jubilate!'s accompanist from the very beginning. She is also an accompanist for the Heart of the Valley Children's Choirs. These have given her the opportunity to perform at choir festivals nationally and worldwide. Lucy has a full studio of piano students and is a leader in the Linn Benton Oregon Music Teachers Association. She has also enjoyed many diverse performing opportunities such as playing in a rock band in the '80's, and singing in the a cappella vocal groups Four in Hand and Absolute.
MARILYN HENDERSON, PRESIDENT Marilyn Henderson joined Jubilate! in 2000 after singing with other community choirs for many years. She recently retired from Oregon State University after 37 years of research work in toxicology. She is a founding member of Slow Food Corvallis and self-described ³wine geek.² She spends many hours tending her garden and playing with her corgi, and loves to travel with her husband.
